Anne Dietrich

Anne Dietrich
Vice-President

In 2007, Anne Dietrich was successful in communicating with the major Presidential candidates and encouraged them to go on record in writing in favor of mandatory labeling legislation of GMO's. Anne co-founded Citizens to Label Genetically Engineered Food in March 2008, representing the will of the majority of Americans as well as the intent of our political leaders. The purpose of the 501(c)4 was to make food safety a defining issue of the 2008 election in order to pass mandatory labeling legislation of genetically engineered foods in 2009.

Anne was former Executive Director of The Campaign to Label Genetically Engineered Foods, and previously responsible for advertising and subscription sales for The Organic & Non-GMO Report and The Non-GMO Sourcebook, the world’s only directory of non-genetically engineered products. During 2005, Anne was a sales associate at Genetic ID, a world leader in non-GMO testing, where she worked with companies and retailers implementing non-GMO identity preservation systems. She served as Administrative Coordinator for The Alliance for Bio-Integrity, and assisted Mothers for Natural Law to petition the National Organic Standards Board to include rules on genetic engineering.

Anne established a successful list-brokering company, A-1 Lists, specializing in marketing tools with a conscience, and owned and operated Big Kitchen, an organic bakery and deli providing non-GMO food to retailers, businesses and families. Anne was an Iowa farmer and is the mother of six children and seven grandchildren.
